Step Inside a Day in the Life of a Practice Manager

As Practice Manager, you’ll play a key role in strengthening the hospital’s financial performance, operational efficiency, and long-term growth, working closely with ownership, HR, and fellow practice leaders to drive accountability and strategic initiatives. You’ll oversee day-to-day hospital operations, identify opportunities to improve efficiency and patient care, and develop leaders throughout the organization. You’ll also help protect and evolve the culture and core values that make Midwest Veterinary Specialists special. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys building strong teams, solving problems, driving meaningful change, and helping a growing specialty practice reach its full potential.

Your Work Environment

Enjoy working with a fun-loving team in a modern 6,000-square-foot hospital connected to a 9,000-square-foot specialty surgical and rehabilitation hospital. Our modern facility is built to support efficient workflow, advanced medicine, and a great team experience. What We Are Looking For

• 3+ years of leadership experience overseeing the daily operations of a clinic office, property management site or similar facility.
• Proven experience managing teams, operations, and financial performance
• Strong business acumen (P&L, KPIs, budgeting, forecasting)
• Strong computer literacy with hands-on experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and accounting platforms like QuickBooks
• Strong desire and proactive approach to quickly master the hospital’s specific processes, workflows, and compliance procedures
• Proven track record of collaborative, respectful leadership with an established ability to unite leadership teams and staff across all organizational levels
• Ability to think strategically and execute effectively
• Experience developing leaders and building high-performing teams
